Licensing

Once we have a drug candidate ready, we target a select number of start-up, venture capital, biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies to whom we market our drug candidate. We provide such companies with a confidential offering memorandum, a scientific presentation and access to our investigators, medicinal chemists and lead discovery team. 

When a company's due diligence is complete and they have chosen to license the drug candidate further, the NeuroDiscovery Center offers an option for exclusive period of negotiation to reach a definitive agreement. This exclusivity period allows us to focus on what is important to the Center - building a collaborative drug development plan. During this process, the Center acts as an agent and works with all of our member institutions and hospitals to provide the most flexible, efficient and desirable technology transfer mechanism possible (sponsored research, license, equity investment).
